3 1/2 to 6 Year Old

The 3 1/2-6 year old class activities are designed with the interests and skill levels of the diverse ages. At free play time, a variety of activities are accessible. Children choose to pursue what interests them. Books, music and recess are part of each day. Classroom Ratios:
  • 1 adult to 10 children.
  • Maximum of 20 children in the room with 2 adults.
Conery Calhoon - Head Teacher: Conery is the Head Teacher of our multi-age classroom. She is group leader qualified. She is the mother of 3 kids, with a college background in the sciences, art and music. She has been working with infants and preschool ages in a professional setting for ten years.   Margaret (Mimi) Baxter McClatchey - Assistant Teacher: Margaret Baxter McClatchey (Mimi) Grew up in western New York, BA - Nebraska Wesleyan University; MA- University of Kansas. Taught high school theatre for 31 years in Overland Park, Kansas. Worked at Monfort Early Childhood Education Center in Greeley before coming to MDO. Married 44 years; two sons and one grandson.   Daily Schedule:
